Transform Africa Summit returns to Kigali, with AI and emerging technologies in focus.

Kigali, 6 May 2025 – Smart Africa is pleased to announce the return of the highly anticipated Transform Africa Summit, scheduled to take place from July 22 to 24, 2025, in Kigali, Rwanda under the theme “AI forAfrica: Innovate Locally, Impact Globally”. As Africa’s premier annual technology forum, the Summit continues to catalyze digital transformation across the continent by fostering collaboration between governments, businesses, and international organizations.

The upcoming edition will mark the Summit’s first return to Kigali since 2019, following a highly successful gathering in Zimbabwe in 2023 that attracted five Heads of State, including a King, 44 ministers, and thousands of other delegates from across the continent and beyond.

Organized by Smart Africa, the Summit has cemented its role as a pivotal platform for shaping Africa’s digital agenda, accelerating socio-economic development, and promoting the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

With a strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI)and emerging technologies, this year’s Summit will feature insightful panel discussions, workshops, and training sessions aimed at equipping participants with knowledge and strategies to harness AI for Africa’s development. Additionally, the event will showcase exhibitions from leading tech firms, offering a glimpse into groundbreaking innovations driving digital transformation across industries.
